Ceramic Welding & Hot Repairs
Ceramic welding provides lasting repairs with no furnace shutdown; replacing lost refractory, protecting areas of corrosion and erosion, preventing furnace atmosphere impinging structural steel work and sealing open expansion joints.
Ceramic welding can be done internally or externally, the best results are gained internally due to the higher temperatures and achieving the most effective sealing and filling of voids and open joints.
The weld repair is effective immediately after application with no shrinkage and full bonding to the substrates stopping the formation of Rat-holing.
The unrivalled sealing ability of ceramic welding, when combined with conventional masonry repairs, can provide one of the most efficacious repair systems available.

- On-site lance fabrication and modification ensuring no project delays.
- DeGlazing Lances to clear low melting point glaze materials from operating refractories prior to application of ceramic welding.

- Closed gas/ material delivery to optimise weld properties and to allow the use of long lances.
- Water-cooled chainsaw to make openings of controlled dimensions without impact disturbing surrounding refractories.
